THE NOVA BULLS TAKE ON HAGERSTOWN'S HUB CITY HOGS IN THE SEASON OPENING GAME
It was a wild game, with the crowd on their feet as the NOVA Bulls went up against Hub City Hogs in the season opener! The first quarter already showed some promise, with fans avidly cheering on both teams while they heated up for an intense match. With all players giving their best and leaving it all out on the court, this match-up was sure to be a nail-biter that no one would want to miss.
The NOVA Bulls left no doubt in their victory over the Hub City Hogs as they managed to put up 5 players in double-figures and did not relent as the game reached its climax. Jerry Carter and Julian Washington led the Bulls with 30 and 24 points respectively, with their outside shooting complementing each other perfectly. Kobby Ayetey reminded everybody why he is one of the mainstays of the team by providing 15 points from deep including 3/3 from long range and his overall floor presence was stellar.
Earnest Jenkins Jr. had an outstanding performance against the Hogs, putting up 21 points and 6 assists while Chris Knight scored 11 points with 10 rebounds. Their exceptional game was a true testament to their talents as players. Lastly, Malique Judd embodied what a complete player should be scoring 9 points while also grabbing 11 rebounds on defense.
Although Hub City's leading scorer, Noah Boyd, put in an admirable performance dropping 27 points and five threes it ultimately proved too little for them to overcome the offensive barrage put forward by the Bulls. To keep this momentum going, The NOVA Bulls will have to face off against the defending ECBL Supercup Champion the Hartford Shockers, next week.
Be sure to catch all of the action is live at Gainesville High School at 5:00 PM EST!
